Product detailed description
This mug with Wassily Kandinsky’s abstraction beautifully complements our new Several Circles poster, which you can also find in the related products section below.
Kandinsky was a Russian painter, graphic artist, art theorist, and a Bauhaus teacher, as well as one of the pioneers of abstract art. His painting Composition No. 8 highlights the importance of the circle in his later works. Kandinsky believed the circle was the synthesis of the greatest opposites – combining concentric and eccentric elements in one balanced form. Of the three primary shapes, it most clearly points to the fourth dimension.
