Ciprian Mureşan is a Romanian contemporary artist whose work critically examines post-Soviet life and the political history of Romania through irony and subtle commentary. His art explores themes of collective memory, identity, and social power structures.
Working across installation, sculpture, and drawing, Mureşan combines traditional craftsmanship with conceptual reflection. He reinterprets familiar cultural narratives and symbols, creating new meanings that question history and ideology.
His work has been featured at major international exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale, Centre Pompidou, and Tate Modern. Mureşan is widely recognized as one of Romania’s most important contemporary artists.
