Detailed information

Product detailed description

The original Bandaska x Michal Škapa vase features a motif of urban structures. This limited edition, created in collaboration with DECHEM Studio, merges street art and glassmaking into a single whole – tradition, experiment, and design combined.

The iconic Bandaska shape became a canvas where Michal Škapa develops themes of architecture, streets, and city fragments. Each piece was created using a combination of printing and hand painting, giving it an authentic character and vivid artistic trace. The design directly connects to Škapa’s graphic works. The collection was crafted in the Nový Bor glassworks, produced in a limited number – every vase is an original.

This is a signed and numbered limited edition. If you're interested in a specific number, please contact us in advance or include your preferred number in the order notes. Frame is not included.

DECHEM Studio – Czech design studio for blown glass

DECHEM Studio is a Prague-based design studio founded in 2012 by Michaela Tomišková and Jakub Janďourek. The duo focuses on contemporary glass design, creating lighting, vases, and sculptural objects that combine Czech glassmaking heritage with modern aesthetics.

Their work merges hand-blown glass craftsmanship with modern form and distinctive colour gradients, a signature visual language that defines the brand’s identity.

Inspired by traditional utilitarian forms – such as village milk containers – DECHEM reinterprets them into minimal, elegant contemporary pieces designed for modern interiors.

Each object is handcrafted in Czech workshops using techniques such as blowing, cutting, grinding, engraving, and glass painting, ensuring authenticity and material precision.

DECHEM Studio collaborates with international galleries and brands, exhibits regularly at Designblok Prague, and its works are included in private and museum collections worldwide.
