Product detailed description
The artwork Akihabara was created exclusively for the Kunsthalle Praha Design Shop as one of two special limited editions by Michal Škapa. It captures the atmosphere of the Tokyo district of the same name – a space of wild architecture, neon lights, video game shops, and vibrant urban energy.
Detailed drawings of urban structures are intersected with raw strokes and sketches that reflect the dynamics and constant motion of the city. The work continues Škapa’s long-term practice inspired by the urban landscape, graffiti, and subcultures that have shaped him since the 1990s.
Akihabara is also the artist’s largest lithograph to date, printed on a special lithographic stone. Each piece was handmade, underscoring its authenticity and collector’s value. Michal Škapa
He is part of the strong generation of Czech writers who appeared on the Czech graffiti scene in the early 1990s and went through key groups of the time – from the old-school DSK crew to the provocative CAP. He also confronted the international scene, such as with his successful hit on the New York subway at the turn of the millennium. He is linked to Prague’s legendary Trafačka and has collaborated with MeetFactory for nearly 15 years, where he also has a studio. His artistic practice spans media from murals, acrylic painting, and airbrush to site-specific installations and light objects. He co-founded the screen-print workshop Analog!Bros and is a close collaborator of the BiggBoss label.

Michal Škapa, also known by his alias Tron, is one of the leading figures of the Czech street art and graffiti scene. Over time, his work has expanded beyond urban interventions into the fields of painting, graphic art, site-specific installations and neon light objects.
His distinctive visual language combines dynamic calligraphic forms, explorations of lettering and the interplay between organic curves and geometric structures. Škapa’s artworks often blend the energy of graffiti with a precise, considered approach to composition.
As a former member of influential graffiti crews, he has long been connected to urban culture and alternative visual movements. Today he collaborates with major institutions, creates large-scale murals and regularly exhibits both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
His practice is marked by experimentation, the search for new techniques and responsiveness to architectural space. Škapa stands as an important bridge between urban aesthetics and contemporary art, bringing the vitality of the street into the gallery environment.
