Zenger Station – LP | Christina Kubisch

Zenger Station is the latest LP by Christina Kubisch, released by Edition Telemark in a limited edition of 300 copies. It comes with a full-color sleeve and a 4-page insert including photos, liner notes, and a detailed interview.

Side A features “Zenger Station 1–3,” a work based on electromagnetic field recordings made in Prague’s active underground transformer station for trams. The composition is divided into “Ground,” “Pulses,” and “Lines,” capturing pure environmental sounds in rich sonic layers.

Side B includes “A Bus Meets a Tram Meets a Trolley,” a 20-minute piece composed from recordings of public transport in Rome, Bangkok, and Bratislava. It reflects Kubisch’s journeys using her custom-built electromagnetic headphones to explore soundscapes with no fixed destination.
