Vase Prasklo – AFFIFE Prasklo
Product detailed description
The AFFIFE vase by Prague-based artist Petra Švejdarová, working under the studio name Prasklo, is a raw, expressive object that blurs the line between design and sculpture. Handmade from concrete and upcycled glass, each vase is engraved by hand and completely unique—signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
AFFIFE celebrates the imperfection and narrative of reclaimed materials. The contrasting textures of smooth glass and tactile concrete highlight the potential of reuse and reinterpretation. Its fully waterproof body allows for both practical use and outdoor display, though many collectors choose to display it as a freestanding sculptural object.
Prasklo was selected for the Trendy 2020 showcase at the Ambiente Design Fair in Frankfurt, spotlighting creators shaping the future of interior aesthetics. The project is not a commercial brand in the traditional sense, but an artistic pursuit focused on individuality, authenticity, and the poetic reuse of forgotten materials.
Each vase is crafted individually in the Czech Republic—making AFFIFE not just a functional object, but a story-bearing piece of contemporary design.

PRASKLO is an artistic design label founded in 2014 by the creative duo Petra Švejdarová and Klára Vaculíková. Their work focuses on unique handcrafted vases and objects made from waste glass and concrete. Each PRASKLO piece is a one-of-a-kind original — not a limited edition, but an individual object with its own story.
Their creations are rooted in a fascination with stone as a primordial natural material — its structure, its forms and its transformative potential. The upcycled glass, sometimes sourced from demolished buildings, gains new functional and aesthetic qualities when combined with concrete.
All objects are produced entirely by hand, using traditional methods and without digital technologies. The process is intuitive and material-driven, emphasising the impossibility of controlling nature and the beauty of working within its unpredictable boundaries.
Petra studied at the Secondary Industrial School of Packaging Technology in Štětí and later Object and Glass Art under Jakub Berdych at Scholastika in Prague. Klára first graduated from the Faculty of Law at Charles University and then studied photography at TAFE NSW in Sydney, Australia.
