Carafe DUNES

€89
In Stock

Crystal glass carafe inspired by desert dunes, disappearing when filled with liquid to reveal a pure silhouette.

Detailed information

Product detailed description

The DUNES crystal glass carafe is inspired by the wild beauty of sand dunes and their organic forms, naturally created by nature. The dunes are imprinted on the inner side of the glass, while the outer side retains its precise, simple shape. Once filled with liquid, the dunes vanish completely, leaving only the outer silhouette of the glass visible.

Monotropa

Monotropa is a Prague-based design studio focused on fine craftsmanship, simple yet distinctive design, and the use of natural or recycled materials. Its name comes from the non-photosynthetic wildflower Monotropa Uniflora, also known as the ghost plant. Just as the flower draws energy from surrounding plants, Monotropa draws inspiration from the visual richness of the world around us. The DUNES collection was created in collaboration with Tomáš Kučera, a student of glass at UMPRUM Prague and a promising young designer, who was named Discovery of the Year at Czech Design Week 2021.
