Part of the Postmodern Mermaid collection, the Sirene Necklace combines a hand-crocheted stainless steel chain with a secondhand oyster shell and a vintage freshwater pearl. The shell is hand-polished to enhance its natural surface, preserving the marks of time and its original organic character.

Each necklace differs slightly due to the natural individuality of the shells and the freehand crochet technique. The piece becomes a poetic keepsake — a fragment treated as a treasure, given new meaning through its sculptural presentation.

Postmodern Mermaid draws inspiration from lost seashell boxes, underwater worlds, forgotten fragments, and the reinterpretation of Andersen’s tale. The collection explores nostalgia, memory, the passage of time and the beauty of imperfect materials sourced from secondhand and vintage origins.
