The ZIGZAG vase by Martin Žampach is a 3D-printed design object shaped by an algorithm—featuring a removable glass tube for easy cleaning and everyday use.

Detailed information

Product detailed description

In the ZIGZAG vase, designer Martin Žampach blends code, form, and craft. Using parametric algorithms and 3D printing technology, he allows chance and structure to shape an object that is both sculptural and functional. Every line you see is a result of material layering—turning the FDM printing process itself into an aesthetic feature.

The vase includes a removable borosilicate glass insert (similar to Pyrex or Simax), making it watertight and easy to clean. The outer shell is made from PLA biopolymer, a renewable and compostable material, and is shipped in eco-conscious corrugated cardboard packaging.

Note that PLA softens above 50 °C and should be cleaned with a damp cloth or under cold water. Not dishwasher safe. The design may show natural surface irregularities from the printing process—an intentional part of its unique character.

Žampach’s ZIGZAG collection explores the role of the designer in the digital age—where beauty is born from code, chance, and sustainable thinking.
