But what if not? What if we simply haven’t been paying enough attention and have underestimated the hidden and most important part of the plant?

We usually admire the buds, but with the Roots collection, the author Helena Patelisová decided to celebrate and explore flowers from a different perspective. The most essential part is hidden in the soil. The symbolism that roots carry are strength and new life.

While creating the Roots collection, she shaped 12 roots collected from the soil during weeding. These root castings are manually glued onto vases, with various unique variations. Each vase is therefore unique, and no two are ever the same. The bodies of the vases are shaped by three forms, but even these are never identical, as their upper edges are left to chance and are hand-finished.
