Magdalena Šťastníková

MgA. et MgA. Magdalena Šťastníková is a Czech jewellery designer and artist, awarded Czech Grand Design – Jewellery Designer of the Year 2024. She graduated from the K.O.V. studio (Concept – Object – Meaning) at UMPRUM in Prague, an environment that shaped her sensitivity to conceptual thinking, experimentation and the relationship between jewellery and the human body.

Her work is defined by abstract, organic and fluid forms. Many of her pieces extend beyond the borders of the body into surrounding space, emphasising jewellery as a sculptural, spatial and relational object. The interplay between jewellery and the body—connection, tension, intimacy—is central to her artistic approach.

Magdalena creates unisex jewellery designed to be combined in multiple ways. She brings softness to metal through wax modelling and meticulous polishing, giving her works an unexpected tactile quality. Her inspirations stem from emotion, nature and speculative imagery, often imagining jewellery as part of the skin’s surface—an interface between humans and nature.

Alongside her collections and bespoke pieces, she collaborates with leading Czech fashion designers, creating objects for runway presentations. She was nominated for the Czech Grand Design Jewellery Designer of the Year award in 2021 and 2022, and in 2024 she received the award.
