In the FORMMA vase, Czech design duo Eva and Marcel Mochal (studio LLEV) explore the functional essence of a vase—not by changing its form, but by interrogating its details. This minimalist piece is shaped by raw finishes, ground edges, mica particles, soda traces, and visible air bubbles, challenging our expectations of glass perfection.
Each piece is hand-blown into a metal mold and bears intentional traces of disruption created using a 100-year-old iridescent glass technique. The resulting surface is not smooth – it is alive, restless, and authentic.
Form(m)a becomes more than a name—it’s a statement about finding beauty in the overlooked, the imperfect, and the thoughtfully made. A celebration of material honesty and Czech glass heritage reimagined through modern design thinking.
