Product detailed description
This pair of handmade whiskey glasses by Czech designer Lukáš Houdek is inspired by the ideals of modern architecture—particularly the functional elegance of Adolf Loos and Le Corbusier. With their weighty silhouette and sculptural presence, the glasses reflect a contemporary lifestyle grounded in material honesty and visual purity.
Each glass is carefully blown and engraved by hand, featuring strong geometric contours softened with subtle engraved details. These quiet gestures add individuality and warmth to an otherwise precise form—creating a tactile and visual experience with every pour.
Sold as a set of two, these glasses are perfect for design lovers, architects, or anyone who appreciates craft and clarity in both form and function. A striking companion for your favorite spirits or as a gift that celebrates thoughtful design.
About the designer: Lukáš Houdek is a graduate of the Academy of Arts, Architecture & Design in Prague. Together with Filip Houdek, he runs HG ATELIER DESIGN—a studio focused on collectible glass objects that blend tradition and experimentation. His work often explores pop-culture, humor, and symbolism, transforming everyday items into spirited, lasting pieces of design.

Lukáš Houdek (*1988) is a Czech glass artist whose work is defined by humour, playfulness and a surprising lightness rarely associated with such a serious material as glass. A graduate of the UMPRUM Glass Studio under Rony Plesl, his sculptures and objects are instantly recognisable for their distinctive character and bold creative approach.
Houdek moves freely between artistic expression and design, exploring themes of pop culture, parody and material experimentation. He embraces both traditional and innovative techniques, often pushing the technical and visual boundaries of contemporary glassmaking.
After his studies, Houdek worked at Moser before contributing to the development of HG Atelier, the glass studio founded by his brother Filip. Together, they create bespoke lighting objects for private interiors and also run the Houdek.Art project, which connects glass design with the world of super sports cars. Houdek collaborates closely with designer Yulin Huang, currently associated with Lasvit.
His work has been exhibited widely — in Hong Kong, Prague, Paris, Milan, New York, Nový Bor, Taipei and many other cities. He has participated in symposia, group exhibitions and notable design festivals, including Designblok, Maison & Objet and the International Glass Symposium in Nový Bor.
Houdek represents a new generation of glassmakers who bring humour, experimentation and contemporary visual culture into the medium, expanding its expressive potential while maintaining strong craftsmanship.
