What can emerge from a single line of light? Miss Blue S is part of the Random Collection, created through a collaboration between Rautis and design studio LLEV. The collection explores the tension between order and chaos, finding new forms for traditional glass beads. Its shape suggests a star caught in motion, a trail of light or a glimpse into an endless perspective.
Behind the ornament lies an exceptional craft tradition. Rautis is based in Poniklá in the Krkonoše Mountains, the only place in the world where traditional glass bead-making has been preserved to this day. The craft dates back to the 1870s, with knowledge and skills passed down through generations. In 2020, this unique tradition was inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
