Paint the Masters

Product detailed description

Great masters on your wall, or under your brush. What if you could reach a Matisse or a Van Gogh with a brush of your own? Paint the Masters makes that possible. The book contains 28 black-and-white works printed as posters: ink sketches by Henri Matisse, Vincent van Gogh's original studies for his famous paintings, life drawings by Egon Schiele and more.

The posters can be used in two ways. You can frame and hang them as they are, where the black-and-white drawing works as restrained graphic art. Or you can colour them in and complete the work begun by the masters in your own hand, with watercolour, ink or coloured pencils. The result will be yours alone.

The sheets detach easily and are sized to fit a standard 28 × 36 cm frame, so finished work can go up on the wall in minutes. The book suits beginners as well as more experienced makers who like working from a model, and it makes an equally good gift for anyone who enjoys both art and making things.
