(De)Formed Blue Vase David Valner

The (De)Formed Blue Vase by David Valner is part of a series exploring the natural behavior of molten glass. By pouring large amounts of hot glass and letting it deform under its own weight, the designer captures the moment between control and chaos.

The result is a collection of functional objects, each unique in shape and texture, representing three stages of deformation: low, medium, and complete.

Valner Studio is a family-based collective combining traditional glassmaking with a contemporary design approach. Located in Olomouc, Czech Republic, it is led by David Valner, a designer, sculptor, and founder of the studio.
