Unreality Collection: A tribute to the concept of a legacy that remains even when everything else fades away. "I was looking for a way to monumentalise words, to strengthen them and materialise them - to make them more than just fleeting signs. I was inspired by the work of Eva Kmentová and the ideas of Jean-Michel Basquiat, who deliberately cut words to paradoxically make them visible," explains Kateřina Handlová. The Legacy vase transforms words into permanent symbols that resist time. It materialises thoughts and words as an eternal legacy, like ancient inscriptions on tablets, Egyptian hieroglyphs, or Roman columns. The archetypal shape of the block is reminiscent of a monolith, a canvas, or a tablet, where each word carries the depth of thought, emotion, and human destiny. Legacy thus expresses our desire to leave a trace, something that will last beyond us - our story, our identity, our memory. The vase is more than just a design object, it embodies the idea that words can have lasting meaning and value, and that the legacy we create can endure for eternity... The words inscribed on this vase are quotes from Adriena Šimotová, which have inspired Kateřina throughout her life and have sharpened in her memory.

Rückl

The Rückl family glassworks is renowned for top-quality cut crystal since 1846. However, glass-melting tradition and time-tested glassmaking techniques have been handed down in this family from generation to generation for some three hundred years. The Rückl century-old craft now shines in the context of contemporary design. The new collection developed by Rony Plesl pays homage to the tradition of Bohemian glassmaking, as well as icons of Czech history. In 2022, the talented young designer Kateřina Handlová took over the imaginary creative reins of the Rückl from the hands of the designer Rony Plesl. Rückl retrieves the best from time-tested glassmaking techniques and takes them to new levels.
