Four years have passed since the great detective adventure of the hedgehog Jefferson in the land of men. One day, Gilbert the shepherd finds a strange message from one of the participants of that trip, the rabbit Simone. When he visits her home, he discovers that she has disappeared under mysterious circumstances. As Jefferson and Gilbert investigate together, they learn that Simone joined a strange cult. Jefferson decides to enter the lion’s den. What awaits him there? Can he help the melancholic Simone, who has given up everything? And is she any better off in the new community?

This lightly written detective story uses humor to reveal to children what it means to manipulate and exploit others' misfortunes, while also exploring ways to heal sadness and loneliness. A humorous book about serious topics from the winner of the Hans Christian Andersen Award.
