Elmgreen & Dragset: READ
The READ exhibition led by the Scandinavian artist duo Michael Elmgreen and Ingar Dragset celebrates the literary heritage of Prague. It transforms the Kunsthalle Praha into a living library; this is their first major exhibition in the Czech Republic. In their work, they explore the relationship between art, architecture, and design, which they cleverly supplement with wit and provocative humour. Their works were exhibited in various biennials, for example in Bangkok (2018), Venice (2009, 2003) or Istanbul (2013, 2011, 2001), where they were also curators in 2017. Their works are part of many art collections, including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebaek, or the Astrup Fearnley Museum in Oslo.
