Vladimír Ambroz

Vladimír Ambroz graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Brno University of Technology and has been known as a performer and graphic designer since the mid-1970s. He mainly designed posters and album covers. He collaborated externally with Czechoslovak Television in Brno as an architect and graphic designer. Between the years 1976 and 1981, he devoted himself to performance, in which he was most active in Brno. He photographed all his action events and tried to develop experimental art of the 1960s. He wanted to draw attention to the necessity for changes in a normalised Czechoslovakia. No change ever came and Vladimír Ambroz eventually crossed over from art back to architecture.
