The photographic sequences from the exhibition catalog, co-designed by Kunsthalle Praha and Hildebrandt’s studio, capture the atmosphere of Gregor Hildebrandt’s solo show and transport the viewer directly into its space. Christelle Havranek’s curatorial text and an essay by Friedemann Hahn, Hildebrandt’s painting professor at Kunsthochschule Mainz, provide deeper perspectives on his life and work. The book also includes archival materials from Hildebrandt’s studio, his project space Grzegorzki Shows, and the music label Grzegorzki Records, offering insight into his creative process and ties with other artists, friends, students, and art lovers worldwide.

Gregor Hildebrandt creates sculptures, installations, and paintings from analogue sound mediums—compressed vinyl, audiotapes, cassette shells, and chess pawns—referencing Minimalism and Abstract Expressionism while invoking collective and personal memories. Based in Berlin, he has taught painting and graphic arts at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich since 2015. In 2016, he received the Falkenrot Preis, and in 2018, with Alicja Kwade, founded the music label Grzegorzki Records supporting emerging musicians.
