Product detailed description
Women’s Voices: Australia presents documentary footage from Barbora Baronová’s five-month research residency at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. During this period, she conducted more than twenty interviews with leading artists, writers, filmmakers, activists, photographers, scientists, and journalists, probing themes universal to women—social standing, societal expectations, and professional opportunities.
Featured voices include feminist icon Anne Summers on her pivotal abortion experience, anthropologist Diane Bell on advocating for women in science, poet Alison Whittaker’s journey from rural Australia to Harvard Law, publisher Susan Hawthorne’s transition from global Penguin to independent presses, and Holocaust survivors Olga Horák and Halina Robinson. Each story is brought to life through Dita Pepe’s evocative photography, creating a powerful portrait of contemporary womanhood.
